The Carlinville Public School Foundation is an independent, non-profit charitable (503c3) organization created to provide supplemental funding for district educational programs. The foundation was created in 1988 to stimulate strong community support for Carlinville Unit School District #1.

To solicit donations and bequests for the purpose of awarding grants that develop innovative or vital educational programs, projects, activities and services which are not or cannot be funded through existing tax sources. Grants are submitted by faculty, staff and administrators of CUSD #1.
